CIBONE Brooklynにて、八田亨、芳賀龍一、小野象平による三人展が開催されます

土と出会うことから始まり、いかにその土の魅力を引き出すか、いかに人の目と手に寄り添ううつわを作ることができるのか。

３人が作るうつわは、一見時代を逆行するような膨大な時間をかけて作られています。

そしてそれぞれのもつ独自の過程と表現を経て出来上がる作品は、そこに盛り付けられる何物も受け止めてくれるダイナミズムさを持ち、全ての人に手に取ることを許されるボーダレスなうつわであり、そして常に新たな変化と挑戦がもたらす唯一無二な焼き上がりの表情を持ち、私たちはその１点１点を彼らの個性、人間味ととらえ、皆様に出会ってほしいのです。

今手にすべき３人のたぐいまれな才能を持つ日本人陶芸家のうつわ。

八田　亨 Toru Hatta

1977年石川県生まれ。大阪府堺市、富田林市にて作陶。 土の可能性を追求し、土味にこだわり粉引き、三島を作る。土の色と、線彫りした白い文様のバランスが美しい三島の皿は、和洋を問わず食材の色を引き立てるので器の初心者にも使いやすい。丁寧に線彫りした表情はモダンで、食卓に映える。使うほどに土肌がしっとりと育ってくるので、その手触りの変化も楽しんで欲しい器である。
Born in 1977 in Ishikawa prefecture. Ceramist based in Sakai-shi, Tondabayashi-shi, Osaka. With a passion to pursue the exploration of clay, he creates Kohiki and Mishima paying a great deal of attention to the glaze. With the Mishima plates the color of the clay and the engraved white pattern lines are well balanced, easy for a novice user since the utsuwa complements the coloring of both Japanese and Western cuisine. Carefully engraved lines give the vessel a modern look that adds attractiveness to the dining table with a non lacquered surface that matures through use.

芳賀龍一 Ryuichi Haga

1984年、福島県生まれ。武蔵野美術大学造形学部彫刻学科に入学し、陶芸をはじめる。同大学大学院造形研究科美術専攻彫刻コース修了後、独立。2013 年、創作の場を益子に移し現在に至る。各地で自ら採取した土をベースに、独創的な表情のうつわをつくる。
Born in Fukushima Prefecture in 1984. Entered the Department of Sculpture at Musashino Art University and began making ceramics. In 2013, he moved his studio to Mashiko, where he currently lives. He creates unique ceramics using clay that he collects from various places.

小野象平

1985年愛知県生まれ　高知県香美市にて作陶。父である陶芸家・小野哲平氏の元で、ものづくりの姿を見て育つ。独立した後は、自ら山に土を掘り、釉薬の原料も一から作る器作りを実践。使う人の手に包まれた時に感じられるものを大切にした器を作っている。しっかりとした手取りと、無理のないかたち。おおらかで素朴な美しさのなかに使う人を包む優しさが感じられる。
Born in Aichi prefecture in 1985. Currently making pottery in Kami, Kochi.Raised watching his father, the potter Teppei Ono, making things with his hands. After becoming independent, he began making his own pots using clay that he dug from the mountains, and glazes that he makes from scratch. He makes pots that take into consideration what the user will feel when he or she holds the object in her hands.
